Why We Need This Information
You may notice this form asks for more personal information than a typical service signup — including your Social Security Number, date of birth, and physical description. Here’s exactly why.
New York State law requires us to submit specific identifying information to the NYS NICS system before we can transfer any ammunition to you. This is the same information required by law for every ammunition transfer in New York — we are not collecting anything beyond what the state mandates. We have no discretion to skip or reduce these fields.
After You Submit
Complete Your Pre-Registration
All fields are required by NYS NICS unless marked optional. Your information is transmitted securely and used only for background check compliance.
Why we ask for your Social Security Number: The NYS NICS system uses your SSN as a primary identifier to conduct the mandatory background check required by NY Penal Law § 400.03. Without it, we cannot legally process your transfer. Your SSN is submitted directly to NYS NICS and is not stored in our systems beyond what is required by law.
Your Next Step: Confirm Your Slot
Once you’ve submitted your registration, contact us to confirm we have available storage and processing capacity before you place your order. We have limited slots and cannot guarantee availability without confirmation first.
