Point & Insurance Reduction (Program Overview)

Successful completion of an approved course may allow eligible motorists to receive:

• Point reduction: Up to four (4) points may be reduced from the total used by DMV to calculate administrative actions.
• Insurance reduction: A 10% reduction (for three (3) years) in the base rate of automobile liability, no-fault, and collision premiums, subject to insurer approval.

Important: Convictions and associated points remain on your driving record. Point reduction eligibility is limited to
once every 18 months. This course does not affect mandatory fines/assessments or suspensions/revocations already in effect.
