The discussion follows six steps, then gives you a framework for your own decision and a written starting plan.
- Mindset: awareness, avoidance, and opportunities to leave a developing conflict.
- Your risks: evaluating your home and everyday routines before choosing equipment.
- Your options: home security, personal alarms, defensive tools, and the legal questions they raise.
- The firearm decision: secure storage, ongoing practice, judgment, and personal responsibilities.
- The law: an introduction to New York’s Article 35 and the potential aftermath of a defensive incident.
- The process: licensing and training questions, followed by practical next steps.

This seminar is for people exploring firearm ownership or concealed carry, including beginners and people who are uncertain about firearms.
Bring your questions and a willingness to think honestly about your circumstances. “Yes,” “not yet,” and “no” are all answers worth considering.

No. This introductory seminar is intended for people exploring their options. No prior firearms experience or firearm is needed.
Is this the full New York concealed carry course?
No. This is a separate 90-minute decision-making seminar. Attendance does not authorize firearm possession or carry.
